At the age of 19, Steve launched and operated a successful marketing company, which he sold a few years later. After transitioning his sales and marketing skills into the mortgage arena, he became a Certified Mortgage Planning Specialist (CMPS) and achieved the distinction as the “Top Performing Loan Officer” for 15 consecutive years. Upon steadily growing his business as a loan officer, Steve moved into the role of branch manager, quickly growing the branch by 157% and funding more than $50 million per month. Through his dedication, motivation, and leadership, the branch became the top performing branch nationally within an 18-month period. Today, when it comes to service and rates, Steve is known throughout the mortgage industry for his ability to think outside of the box and local builders often approach him for his expertise in crafting flexible and customized deals that are a win-win for all parties. In addition, Steve trained and mentored the next generation of AmeriFirst Financial loan officers so that they, too, are capable of providing the exceptional level of service, communication, and professionalism.
In addition to his prowess in the mortgage industry, Steve is the proud father of three active boys and he enjoys volunteering his time as a youth basketball coach.
